Never Fail Yorkshire Puds
- Pre-heat the oven to 220 deg C / Gas Mark 7 and ensure there is a shelf in the middle to top of the oven.
- Pour a little sunflower oil into the bottom of each of the cups in a a muffin tin. Place the tin into the oven to get really hot.
- Make a batter using 1/2 pint (285 ml) of milk, 115 grams of all purpose flour and a pinch of salt.
- Beat in 3 eggs.
- Take the hot tin out of the oven and equally share the batter out into the cups.
- Place the tin back in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until well browned.
- Take the Yorkshire puds out of the oven and enjoy with your favorite roast or even sausages and mash. Yum !
I love Yorkshire puddings, but I prefer them to be big and puffy not thin and biscuity. There are lots of different ways of making the batter, and some work better than others, but this mixture always works. You have my word.
